LANXESS expands its global production network of high-tech plastics

special chemicals company LANXESS is expanding its global production network of high-tech plastics on a large scale. Today, the company announced the ground breaking of a new composite plant in the United States. In addition, the joint venture between LANXESS and DuPont, an American Chemical Company, in Hamm uentrop, Germany, will also be expanded to double its production capacity

the initial production capacity of the company's complex plant in Gastonia, North Carolina will reach 20000 metric tons/year. This is the first production facility of high-tech plastic composites Durethan and pocan established by LANXESS in the United States. LANXESS compounded and modified basic polymers, such as polyamide and polybutylene terephthalate, after adding additives according to the needs of customers, to produce dulidon and Baogen. The initial investment of the factory is 10million euros, which is expected to increase nearly 55 local employment opportunities. The plant is expected to start construction in the second quarter of 2011 and is expected to be put into operation in 2012

Werner breuers, a member of the management board of LANXESS group, said: "the United States is the largest market for high-tech plastics, and the automotive industry bears the brunt. Here, the rising Cafe fuel economy standards promote the demand for advanced materials." The enterprise average fuel economy standard (CAFE) is a regulation issued to improve the average fuel economy of cars and light trucks sold in the United States

in addition, Langsheng and DuPont, an American Chemical Company, plan to double the capacity of their joint venture to produce polybutylene terephthalate (PBT). The two companies will invest an additional 10million euros in this facility in Hamm - Trollope, Germany. The expansion will create 9 new jobs on the basis of the existing 70 jobs. The expansion project is planned to be put into operation in 2012. The technical problem model of Jinan test steel hammer electronic universal testing machine of the factory ranks in the forefront among similar factories in the world, and was completed in 2004

in the past 12 months, LANXESS has injected a series of investments into its global high-tech plastic production network to often inspect and measure the main hydraulic oil. In January, 2011, Langsheng broke ground on a high-tech plastic plant in Jhagadia, India. The new composite plant will start producing high-tech plastics dulidon and Baogen in early 2012, with an initial annual output of 20000 metric tons. This investment of more than 10million euros will create 60 jobs. In addition, xie Yuan, deputy secretary of Jiaozuo Municipal Party committee and mayor, jointly pressed the start button. Langsheng also invested 10million euros to expand its production capacity in Wuxi, China. By the middle of 2011, the annual production capacity of the plant will reach about 60000 metric tons
